A word from the Pastor...

At the beginning of the year, part of what is posted to our monthly update states: "....2010 is another challenging year. We have an awesome task before us. As we face more challenges for this New Year, may we strive to bring North Jersey Bible Church to the next level of fulfilling our mission..."  Now, that is an overwhelming and daunting task.

And in order to bring about this charge, I see it fitting for us to visit and refer to the core values of NJBC: Focus, Integrity, Relevance, Excellence and Discipleship. Each of this is an action word which necessitates not only a group action as a church but more importantly, for each one of us to get these disciplines personalized.  

May the words found  in Isaiah 40 inspire us and bring us to this objective: 28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary,  and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
